Located at 94 Sykes St N, Meaford, Ontario, The Leeky Canoe has been making waves among locals and visitors alike. Recent reviews highlight a significant transformation, particularly noted by Shannon & Melissa M., who praised the improved dining experience and delicious food. The new ownership appears to have revitalized the restaurant, with patrons enjoying offers like 'treasures' for kids and the convenience of reservations.
While most diners rave about the friendly atmosphere and the attentiveness of the staff, Amanda Frampoline pointed out that some dishes could use more flavor. Nonetheless, the laid-back vibe makes it an ideal spot for casual dining. John Klein and Dwight Egerter both commended the excellent service and standout menu items like the Barn Smashburger and Greek salad, ideal for a pre-show meal.
The highlight seems to be the crispy fries with savory gravy, a must-try according to Izzy 17. If you’re looking for a friendly, relaxed restaurant where you can enjoy hearty, comforting meals with a hint of local flair, The Leeky Canoe may just be your next favorite dining destination.

Had a great meal here tonight. Every person was happy with their food at my table. I come here once a year and this year compared to last year was like night and day. It was so much better of an experience that I had to ask the waitress if there was new owners and she said yes. Changes I noticed: food tasted great (much better than last year), my kid was given a 'treasure' and you can now make reservations.

I gave five stars because it's a friendly place. Staff and atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. However, both meals, while perfectly edible, were just a bit sort of bland. It seemed to take sort of long to get the food. But, maybe I was just really hungry. It's a really great place to go for a bite and have a relaxing experience.

Fries with gravy got me hooked after my first visit! Refreshing Bloody Caesar just what I needed to get ready to watch Canadian comedian Shaun Majumder at Meaford Hall on Sunday, October 29th at 7:30 PM I will definitely visit again to devour more of those delicious French fries (oui oui je suis une Frenchy de la ville de Toronto)

Service was great! Pleased to have some choices of non-alcoholic beers from Harmon"s, Toronto. Barn Smashburger was delicious - especially the bacon. Greek salad was tasty as well! Great place to eat before a show!

Nice little spot right in town. Simple fare, reasonable prices. Food was excellent, save the fries which were asked to be well done but came out as standard crisp, no biggie, they were still good. Pic is a half eaten beef dip. Au jus flavourful, beef tender and tasty, bun soft and fresh. Lots of friendly wait staff. Felt like I was walking into the set of "Cheers". Great local atmosphere. Will be back.

After being treated terribly at Station 87 our group of ten needed somewhere to eat. We walked in to The Leeky Canoe and were immediately welcomed and the staff created a table for us to sit at. Lyndsay was our waitress and she was lovely. Friendly, attentive and accommodating. Thank you!!!

First time here. Came to Meaford for a drive..saw this place and stopped for lunch. Lots of variety on menu. Wait staff were great. Foods was good. Facilities clean. Great selection of drought beers on tap. Prices in line with any other restaurant. I recommend trying it.
